Hi everyone, We wanted to begin by wishing you a great 2019. We did a honey tasting on November 14th, 2018, here are the 2018 honeys.
Cuba, Pascale
Sent le printemps, licoreux avec une arrière goût amer et même citroné.
Smells like spring! Sweet but an after taste that reminds us of lemon.
Maroc, Assma
Very interesting how that same honey can produce so many variability amongst us. We tasted candy, rosemary, spicy, woody caramel and leather molasses!
Ontario, Anna's Bee-Licious
This thick honey left us with multiple taste of apple, pine, artificial flavor of watermelon and nutmeg.
Ghana, Carmela
It is always interesting to get African honey. They often seem to have this smokey taste. This one also gave us some rum, apple and cinnamon, pear, fermented taste and butter caramel.
Fiji, Carmela
This beautiful amber honey left us with molasse, maple, smokey and the surprise at the end of old sour lemon!
Italie, Eric et Julie, Miel de chardon
This first honey that we brought back from Milan was sweet, felt like a plain of spring flower, light and surprisingly a bit fishy!
Italie, Eric et Julie, miel de truffe
This honey with truffles added, is probably one of the worst smelling honey we have ever tasted. It did taste of Dijon mustard and marinated oranges. But definitively the smell was too much!
Genève, Suisse, Eric et Julie, miel de forêt
Chocolate, lightly sour, minty and really flavorful.
Genève, Suisse, Christine et Peter
This beautiful amber honey left us with light flavors of plants, grass, fruits, lemon and chocolate caramel. Miam.
Mont D'Or, France, Dominique, Acacia
This sweet and fruity acacian honey is always a fan favorite. This one also left us with a pear taste.
Italie, Lisa
This one is like a coffee in honey form! It smells and tastes like coffee. As well we will taste like prunes, maple, chocolate, smoked paprika, cayenne peper and smokey. All that in the smallest jar of the day.
Miel de Mme Rose, Côte d'Ivoire, Marise
A honey with smokey flavor of wood, molasse and leather.
Sans photo!
Miel de Melbourne, Québec, Stéphane et Sue
A classic Quebec honey, with hints of cheese, sweet and light.
